The name Siphokazi Maraqana has become synonymous with
soulful sounds, poignant lyrics and sophisticated Afro-chic style.
But what’s probably more celebrated than this woman’s musical
gift is her humility. This award winning songbird is indeed a gift to
SA music.

She has been described as the best new thing and the breath of
fresh air by the media and her fans.  Her vocals which are deeply
seeded in isiXhosa tradition have seen her win a number of awards.
She is an exception to the norm and what a rare gem indeed.

Siphokazi has 2 SAMA, 3 METRO awards & 1 SATMA award under her belt.
29th of August 2010, Siphokazi was honoured with an award from Minister of Arts & Culture by mama Dorothy Masuku.
